2026 NATIONAL APIAHIP FORUM: EMERGING SCHOLARS
APIAHiP’s Emerging Scholars Program supports Asian & Pacific Islander American students and emerging professionals in historic preservation and cultural heritage. At each biennial National APIAHiP Forum, the program brings scholars together to connect with practitioners in the field and engage their work with the Forum theme. For the 2026 Forum, our largest cohort to date of seven Emerging Scholars joined us in Denver and Aurora, Colorado, to explore the theme “Emerging Historic Places, Centuries in the Making.” Scholars were selected through a competitive application process and received complimentary Forum registration and a travel stipend.

THANK YOU TO OUR DONORS
Thank you to everyone who supported the Emerging Scholar Fund! Your gifts made it possible for this year’s Emerging Scholars to attend APIAHiP’s 2026 National Forum in Denver and Aurora and take part in the conversations shaping the future of APIA historic preservation. Investing in people at the start of their careers helps build a field better prepared to protect the places that matter to Asian & Pacific Islander American communities. We are grateful for your generosity.
